I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some exciting news with you. Recently, I have been approached to consider running as a candidate for the Board of Education for the Caledonia Community School District. This opportunity has come at a time when Michigan is facing several challenges, and I believe that it is crucial for all of us to come together and contribute in any way we can.
After much reflection and prayer, especially considering that seven of our beloved grandchildren are currently attending schools within the Caledonia district, I felt a strong calling to give back to the educational institutions that have played a significant role in shaping not only my children's lives but also those of my grandchildren.
Our family has deep roots in the Caledonia Community School district, with our eldest proudly graduating as a 'Fighting Scot' just last year and embarking on an apprenticeship at a local plumbing business. Recognizing the importance of trade schools in providing valuable skills to students, I am passionate about fostering the growth of this area within our schools.
The Caledonia Community School district holds a special place in our hearts, as we have all been fortunate to be part of this community. It would be an honor for me to serve and give back to ensure that future generations have an even greater educational experience within the Caledonia Community School district.
As our dear friends and family, you understand the deep gratitude we feel for being a part of this community where we have built our lives and raised our children. Caledonia is more than just a place to us; it is home. Our hope is for other families to share in the same sense of belonging and opportunity that we have experienced here.

Defend Parental Rights
Engage Teachers & Staff
A school system should never come between parents and their kids - they are not property. Parents' input should be honored, not disregarded. Parents can and should have the right to opt their kids out for health, safety, or religious reasons.
Teachers are the backbone of Caledonia schools and commnunity. Listen to our teachers. Never force teachers to become enforcement police. Promote more time in the classroom, less time in excessive data meetings.
Revive Enrollement
Promote Skilled Trades
Truth be told, our enrollment numbers are down - way down - from projections. We will revive enrollment by honoring and defending parental rights, ensuring a safe and learning environment, and promoting skilled trades. Let's create a thriving and unified community again.
Higher education is a great option, but is not the ONLY option. Working with you hands is meaningful, fulfilling work; in Caledonia we must promote the skilled trades and build a world-class skilled trades program.
